Visit The World of Coca-Cola

If you are wondering what to do in Atlanta with kids then how about a trip to Coca-Cola World? With state-of-the-art interactive exhibits and a 4D multi-sensory movie, it’s a crowd-pleaser.

As you would expect there is an in-depth tour of the history of the brand and you get to sample Coke flavors from across the world.

There are over 1,200 artifacts and memorabilia on display relating to the brand and you get to hear the story behind this worldwide recognized drink.

The Lego Master Builder Academy is a must for all little engineers where they get to use their creativity to make everything and anything. For those who are active, the Lego Racers are a must.

You can also walk through the Lego factory and join the other fun and interactive experiences. There is also a 4D cinema, Duplo village and lots of rides.

Take A Film Tour

If your children are tweens or teens then you might want to consider one of the film tours available. Atlanta is a mini Hollywood with many films and tv shows filmed here.

The “Stranger Things” Film Locations Tour includes visits to the Hawkins neighborhood, where you can see the homes of the Wheelers, Sinclairs, and Hendersons. You also visit Screen Gems, the studio where parts of the show were filmed.

The Walking Dead Private Filming Locations Tour here you can opt to see the shooting locations in the city or go to locations further afield.

Or take the  Movie Filming Locations Tour here locations from Captain America, Black Panther, and Spiderman Homecoming were filmed. You also get to visit some Hungar Games locations and various other locations.

If you are looking for free things to do with kids in Atlanta then the Atlanta Beltline is worth considering. A former railway corridor is now a multi-use path lined with art, native plants, and outdoor attractions.

This pedestrian-friendly environment is perfect for walking and biking with your children. This 22-mile loop while not all complete is accessible.

Walk between stops like Ponce City Market and Piedmont Park. It’s also a great place for a picnic or to let your children run free for a while. It’s one of the free activities for kids in Atlanta that is perfect when the weather is lovely.
