Before we take a look at the prettiest Savannah photo spots, lets talk about some etiquette. Savannah is a city full of beautiful historic homes and buildings. There are many on this list that are businesses, so you can walk up their steps or stand on their porches. However, a lot of the historic homes and buildings in Savannah are private.

You should never ever walk, climb, or sit on the property of private homes or buildings. It is very disrespectful to do so. There are plenty of beautiful public spots like the ones on this list that you can get plenty of pretty Savannah pictures without being disrespectful. If you are taking photos inside or outside a church, please be respectful of that religion’s rules. The same goes for cemeteries.

The main point is to just always be respectful while you take photos in Savannah.

Forsyth Fountain

15 E Gordon Street

15 E Gordon Street is a private home in the Historic District of Savannah. One makes it such a special place for photos is the beautiful wrought iron gate in front of the private home. The gate is covered in ivy everywhere except for the intricately designed gate door. The sidewalk is brick cobblestone, and down the street there are more private historic homes that great a charming background.

When I say that this is the prettiest street in Savannah, I am not kidding!! When I shared about this ivy-covered house on social media, people went wild! It is the perfect row house and it is one of the best places for Instagram photos in the historic district. The lion motif is gorgeous too and you really shouldn’t skip this, especially if you are near Forsyth Park!!

The Paris Market

The Paris Market is a charming boutique in Savannah’s historic district. With it’s pastel green painted columns, tan and white striped awnings, and outdoor seating, it feels like it belongs on a street in Paris. The interior is just as charming with one-of-a-kind items, different chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and even a small bakery. Its a great spot for getting Savannah Instagram photos that have that Parisian charm.

The address for the Georgia Queen River Boat is where it docks between tours. It is docked very close to the shore, so you can get some really great photos of it or with it without having to go on the tour. While it is docked, you’ll have plenty of time to take photos alongside it. They can be very pretty, especially when the sky is blue, and feel reminiscent of a different time in Savannah. Ivy Covered Stairs At 216 E Gaston Street

216 E Gaston Street is a private home in Savannah’s historic district. So, when you visit it for photos, please keep that in mind and don’t walk up the steps. You can however get some pretty photos from the sidewalk in front of the steps. Covered in ivy, they are great for more romantic photos or more whimsical photos. They are a really unique hidden gem on the list of Savannah photo spots.

“The Beauty of Plant Riverside” is a brand new mural on the side of the Alida Hotel, one of the buildings in the Plant Riverside District. Because it is also brand new, it’s not super popular yet, so it’s bound to uniquely stick out on Instagram!
