There are many on this list that are businesses, so you can walk up their steps or stand on their porches. However, a lot of the historic homes and buildings in Savannah are private.
You should never ever walk, climb, or sit on the property of private homes or buildings. It is very disrespectful to do so. There are plenty of beautiful public spots like the ones on this list that you can get plenty of pretty Savannah pictures without being disrespectful. If you are taking photos inside or outside a church, please be respectful of that religion’s rules. The same goes for cemeteries.

15 E Gordon Street is a private home in the Historic District of Savannah. One makes it such a special place for photos is the beautiful wrought iron gate in front of the private home. When I say that this is the prettiest street in Savannah, I am not kidding!! When I shared about this ivy-covered house on social media, people went wild! It is the perfect row house and it is one of the best places for Instagram photos in the historic district. The lion motif is gorgeous too and you really shouldn’t skip this, especially if you are near Forsyth Park!!
The Paris Market

The Paris Market is a charming boutique in Savannah’s historic district. The address for the Georgia Queen River Boat is where it docks between tours. It is docked very close to the shore, so you can get some really great photos of it or with it without having to go on the tour.
