Before we take a look at the prettiest Savannah photo spots, lets talk about some etiquette. Savannah is a city full of beautiful historic homes and buildings. There are many on this list that are businesses, so you can walk up their steps or stand on their porches. However, a lot of the historic homes and buildings in Savannah are private.
You should never ever walk, climb, or sit on the property of private homes or buildings. It is very disrespectful to do so. There are plenty of beautiful public spots like the ones on this list that you can get plenty of pretty Savannah pictures without being disrespectful. If you are taking photos inside or outside a church, please be respectful of that religion’s rules. The same goes for cemeteries.
The main point is to just always be respectful while you take photos in Savannah.

The Forsyth Fountain is probably one of the most iconic Savannah photo spots. The entire Forsyth Park is absolutely beautiful, but the fountain itself is stunning. Unlike the other grand mansions in Savannah’s historic district, Alex Raskin Antiques proudly shows its age, and its beautiful. With it’s dirty and stained plaster, rusted window frames, and degrading fence, its beautifully dilapidated. Lafayette Square, Savannah, GA 31401
In Lafayette Square, you can find the Lafayette Fountain. It is smaller than the Forsyth Fountain, but it is still beautiful. River Street is part of one of the newer districts in Savannah, and it’s one of the places where Old Savannah and New Savannah meet. 15 E Gordon Street is a private home in the Historic District of Savannah. One makes it such a special place for photos is the beautiful wrought iron gate in front of the private home. The gate is covered in ivy everywhere except for the intricately designed gate door. When I say that this is the prettiest street in Savannah, I am not kidding!! When I shared about this ivy-covered house on social media, people went wild! It is the perfect row house and it is one of the best places for Instagram photos in the historic district. The lion motif is gorgeous too and you really shouldn’t skip this, especially if you are near Forsyth Park!!
The Paris Market

The Paris Market is a charming boutique in Savannah’s historic district. With it’s pastel green painted columns, tan and white striped awnings, and outdoor seating, it feels like it belongs on a street in Paris. The address for the Georgia Queen River Boat is where it docks between tours. It is docked very close to the shore, so you can get some really great photos of it or with it without having to go on the tour.
